Caboolture Ice produce and supply 5kg bags of party (plate) ice to wholesale and retail customers as well as 25kg bags of party(plate) ice to retail customers.
Plate Ice is solid flat pieces of ice of irregular shape and size approx. 20-50mm in diameter and up to 10mm thick. Research indicates that plate ice lasts longer than most other types of ice. Being flat,solid pieces they have a big surface cooling area resulting in more efficient and even chilling properties which makes plate ice a great choice for the esky,drinks and cocktails and a wide variety of other uses.
Block Ice
Caboolture Ice produce and supply 5 kg block ice. Our Block ice is made from our 'plate' (party) ice which is then compressed into solid blocks of ice. With the blocks being made from the solid pieces of plate ice this ensures that there is very little air if any trapped in the block which makes for a very solid block and depending on how it is stored can last up to 10 days.
Dry Ice
Caboolture Ice supplies dry ice to the public for pick up providing it is
ordered 48 hours prior to pick up.
Dry ice can be bought in block or pellet form with the blocks lasting much longer for the same quantities as pellets.
Dry ice can be used for many purposes such as freezing and keeping frozen goods,artificial insemination,branding, and a fog effect when exposed to water to name a few.
The sizes,dimensions and approximate longevity for blocks of dry ice are as follows:
- 5 Kg - 25cm x 25cm x 5cm - 1 to 2 days
- 10 Kg - 25cm x 25cm x 10cm - 3 to 4 days
- 15 Kg - 25cm x 25cm x 15cm - 5 to 6 days
- 20 Kg - 25cm x 25cm x 20 cm - 7 to 8 days
